On Friday the children from all the orphan centers were practicing intensely for the Orphan Games. Some of the challenging sports include; Soccer, Running, Acrobatics, Net Ball and many others. All of the kids were so happy for these mini Olympic type games and the chance to meet so many other children facing similar life challenges. When we are given a goal, a target to hit, a life to live up to, then our spirit rises up to meet the struggle with the might of determination!

Street Children project Graduation!
In a grand celebration this past Thursday all of the former street children graduated from their vocational training. Can you image the hope in their hearts after leaving life on the streets, drugs, prostitution, and stealing and now having a real future ahead? You haven’t ever seen such smiles on the faces of young men and women as we did on that day. The students in the Orphans Foundation Fund / Chiswea street children project funded by CORDAID studied the vocational trades of Tailoring, Cooking, Automotive Mechanics, Auto body, Electrical installation, and Art. True progressiveness is empowering people with life skills and encouraging them so that they may go out and build lives for themselves.
